Welcome and check-in.
Presentation of program by the guide
3-course dinner and cosy evening.
Western crossing part 1 (42 km and 2 boat transfers)
During the daytime, it will be possible to go on easy hikes in incredible terrain to some of Senja’s best known landmarks.
Optional easy hike to Leirpollfjellet overlooking large parts of South Senja or free time.
After dinner, we get ready for today's bike tour. We cycle from Frovåg to Rødsand (10 km) where we have to get into a boat.
After crossing Selfjorden, the trip continues from Flakstadvåg to Grunnfarnes, through some of the finest nature the outer coast has to offer. Another boat will be waiting to take us along the outer coast of Senja and into the fjord to Torsken.
Arrival at Senja Fjordcamp for midnight snack and overnight accommodation.
Western crossing part 2 (59 km, tunnels)
After breakfast, we set off on a hike to Ramnfløy to take in the views of Torsken
There will also be an opportunity for a guided tour of the Wilsgård salmon farm. For several generations, the Wilsgård family has operated a business here based on fisheries and in recent times aquaculture too.
This evening the cycling trip goes through some of the rawest scenery the outer coast of Senja has to offer.
We will ride along the National Scenic Route, which coincide with National Cycle Route 1, and pass several iconic viewpoints. It will be a relatively hilly road, but completely doable with the help of the e-bikes.
We check-in in Mefjordbrygge for night food and a relaxed sleep.
Northern crossing (71,6 km, tunnels)
We start the day with a hike to Knuten at the outermost point of Mefjordvær. You will be rewarded with great views of the Medfjord and the impressive mountain range on the northern side of the fjord.
We leave behind the wild, rugged mountains on the outer coast and get to experience the milder inner coast.
Apart from the climb up from the Medfjord, this stage is relatively flat.
We stay over in Finnsnes.
Southern crossing (56,7 km)
Today, we will cycle during the day. After a good breakfast, we are of to cycle across the bridge to Senja and stop at Senjastua for today's lunch.
Halfway through the trip, there is a visit to Senja Håndbryggeri, with the possibility of tasting (not included). Remember, we're only halfway...
The trip brings us through the biodiverse inland, back to Frovåg.
We settle back in at Senja Fjordhotell for a relaxing evening with a last 3-course dinner.
We have a extensive breakfast and summary of the trip.
We thank you for us and there will be transport back to Finnsnes.

e-bike, for me?
Even if you are a trained cyclist or amature, experiencing a cycling trip on an e-bike is just different. You can go longer or more relaxed or faster, up to you.
Even if we ride an e-bike, the physical shape should be good, so it is recommended that you are used to moving. The hikes are voluntary, so if you think it will be too much with both hiking and cycling, you can stand over and enjoy a quiet day at the ocean before tonight's bike ride. It's going to be a few hours on a bike in total. The trip is moderately demanding.
Boat transfers included
Senja has stunning roads, slining around the fjords. Though, crossing the fjords by boat, with your bike in the hand, is another adventure.
See the island from another point of view. get dropped-off and pick-up from shore.
Boat transports can be expensive by yourself, that is why we want to make this accessible for you to experience.
